Lucille I. Gervais

Lucille I. (Michaud) Gervais, 96, of Woonsocket, died November 23, 2025 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late J. Laurent Gervais, to whom she had been married 58 years. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Marie Louise (Lavoie) Michaud.

Mrs. Gervais was a 1948 graduate of Woonsocket High School, and was a member of its reunion committee. She worked as an accounts payable clerk, retiring in 1994. Lucille was a member of the Italian Workingmens Club Womens Auxillary. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and its Seniors Club.

She leaves her daughter, Diane Ouimette and her husband, Michael, of Woonsocket; three grandchildren, Stephanie Gervais of Port St. Lucie, FL, Lauren Hammond and her husband Doug of Burrillville and Jeffrey Ouimette and his wife, Bridgette, of San Diego, CA; five great grandchildren, Landon, Keegan, Kayleigh and Ryder Hammond and Charlotte Ouimette. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Gervais; and her sister, Leona Allard and her husband, Romeo.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the SCU at St. Antoine Residence for their loving care, compassion, and the support they provided.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 beginning with visitation from 9:15-10:15 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Antoine Residence - Activities Fund, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
