Lucille A. (Roy) Gonsalves

Lucille A. (Roy) Gonsalves, 74, of Foster, passed away February 3, 2026 at home. She was the wife of the late Larry Gonsalves, whom she married March 18, 2006. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Annie (Glowacki) Roy.

Lucille worked as a nursing assistant for the Friendly Home and as a health technician for Providence VA Medical Center before retiring in 2013. She had also worked as a rural carrier for the Woonsocket Post Office. She loved music and would always have something playing on her 8-Track, like Sonny & Cher or Abba. Lucille was also a Beatles fan, having recently gone to see a tribute concert for them at the Stadium Theater in Woonsocket. She found happiness spending time outdoors on her swing looking at the beauty of nature, feeding wildlife, while listening to the Pete Santilli Show. Lucille was an animal lover, especially for her cats Koko and Snickers.

She is survived by her children; Robert Fugere and his wife Tina of North Smithfield, Eric Fugere and his wife Danielle of North Smithfield, Kevin Fugere and his wife Melissa of Leicester, MA, Cheryl Young and her husband Steven of Foster, and Christy Fugere of Woonsocket; her brother, Roger Roy of Woonsocket; her sisters, Marie Cobb of The Villages, FL, and Suzanne Williams of Aliquippa, PA; five grandchildren, Kailey, Zachary, Connor, Bailey, and Skye; three great grandchildren, Maverick, Grayson, and Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eugene and John Roy, and Jeannine Carroll.

Her funeral will be held Monday, February 9, 2026, beginning with visitation from 5-7PM, followed by a service at 7PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to RISPCA, 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886
