Lucille I. (Lafond) Paquette, 95, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away December 17, 2024 at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the devoted wife of the late Lucien R. Paquette. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Germaine (Lariviere) Lafond.
Mrs. Paquette worked for the New England Telephone Company for many years, and then retired from Miller Electric Company. Lucille was an active communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket, where she served on the Liturgy Committee, and belonged to its Seniors Group. She loved to garden and read, but most important to her, was spending time with her husband, family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She leaves her three daughters, Susan M. Anderson and her husband, Robert, of Lincoln, Janice L. Auger and her husband, Jean, of Albion, and Laurie Ann Ferschke and her husband, Paul, of Cumberland; two brothers, Leo R. Lafond of Peoria, AZ, and Robert L. Lafond of North Smithfield; two sisters, Arline Richard of Blackstone, and Claire Berard of Cumberland; five grandchildren, Bethany Goldberg, Mariel Calnan, Eric Anderson, Matthew Ferschke, and Sarah DePina; seven great grandchildren, Nolan and Miranda Calnan, Elloise, Maclen, and Bowen Goldberg, Jack and Olivia Anderson, and a new great granddaughter DePina, arriving in Spring 2025; as well as, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ernest R. Lafond, Normand F. Lafond, and Ronald J. Lafond; and her sisters, Muriel Dagesse and Janet Contre.
Her funeral will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 beginning with visitation from 8:30 - 10:15 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland.
