Madeleine R. (Aubin) McMullen

Madeleine Rachel McMullen, 83, of Berryville, Virginia and formerly of Rhode Island, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Prince William Medical Center, Manassas, Virginia. Mrs. McMullen was born July 18, 1941, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Camille A. Aubin and Marguerite Aubin (Perrier). She graduated from Bellingham High School, Class of 1958, and remained friends with most of her classmates throughout her life. After graduation, she worked for the VA hospital in Providence, RI where she met her beloved husband John E. McMullen Sr. Before retirement, she worked for Fleet Bank/Bank of America in the wire transfer department. After moving to Berryville in 2017, she enjoyed volunteering at St. Bridget Berryville Parish and being a member of the Lions Club, the Women's club of Clarke County, the Women's Group of St. Bridget, and the PEO.

Mrs. McMullen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Robert (Pauline), and nephew, Steven. She is survived by her son, John (Christi); grandchildren, Madison and Caiden; brother, Richard (Bobbie); niece, Christine (Allyson); nephew, Scott (Stacy); and great niece/nephews, Kaitlynn, Christopher and Steven.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Ave., East Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence. Visitation will be held, Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4-6 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. McMullen's name may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org
