Marlee J. Martin

Marlee Jeanne Martin, 9, a lifelong resident of Blackstone, passed away June 13, 2026, in Boston Children's Hospital. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Joseph Martin of Blackstone and Taylor Desautell of Woonsocket, and bonus daughter of Chris Duffy.

Marlee was a third-grade student at Millville Elementary School. She loved the programs at the Blackstone Library, especially the Lego Club. She enjoyed music, especially Taylor Swift, fashion, art, makeup and Minecraft, and was the queen of 6-7. Despite the many challenges and struggles Marlee faced throughout her life, she always radiated positivity and strength. She was a selfless and empathetic child, whose love and light shined in every space she entered.

Besides her parents and bonus Dad, Marlee leaves her maternal grandparents, Grandma Tenley Bourget and Peepaw, David Desautell and his companion, Anna DiGenni, all of Blackstone; her paternal grandparents, Nonni Janice Martin of Blackstone, and Grandpa Paul Martin of Attleboro; her maternal great grandmother Jeanne Desautell of Blackstone; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including John and Shannon Martin of Clinton, MA and Tia Bourget and Ceralynn Masse, both of Woonsocket; the staff and families from Boston Children's Hospital; and her cats and bunnies.

Her visitation will be held Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 1-4 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boston Children's Hospital Hale Cardiac Center, Attn: Gift Services, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
