Mary G. Barry

Mary G. Barry, 95, of North Smithfield, died February 4, 2026 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Gertrude (O'Connell) Barry.

Mary was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, and attended CCRI. She was an operator for New England Telephone. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Charles Church. She was proud of her Irish heritage, and her North End upbringing, where she made many lifelong friends.

She leaves her sister, Margaret Zarek of Portsmouth, RI. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Barry, and her sister, Catherine Barry.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Church, c/o St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
