Mary M. "Peggy" (Maher) Soullier, 69, of Blackstone, died April 25, 2024 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Paul J. Soullier to whom she was married 33 years. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late William D. Maher, Jr. and Margaret (O'Brien) Maher.
Peggy was a graduate of Blackstone-Millville Regional High School. She was a data processor for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections, until her retirement in 2019. Peggy enjoyed walks on the bike path in Blackstone. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Peggy was very outgoing and social - she knew someone everywhere she went, and if she didn't, then she knew them before she left. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh, and the generosity she showed to anyone she came in contact with.
Besides her husband, Paul, she leaves their son, Patrick Soullier of Blackstone; her stepdaughter, Dawn Lavallee and her husband, Jason, of Millville; her brother, James Maher and his wife, Gale, of Bellingham; four grandchildren, Cole, Evan, Dylan and Sophie Lavallee; and many cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, William D. Maher, III.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Divine Mercy Parish, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blackstone Parks and Recreation Gift Account, 15 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA 01504.
