Marylen A. (Sarnosky) Wieselquist, 59, of Woonsocket, passed away September 25, 2024 at home. She was the wife of thirty-six years of Vincent Wieselquist of Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Arlene (Rivard) Sarnosky.
Marylen was a kind, sweet, loving, and family oriented person, who even though she had hearing difficulty, would use messaging apps to make sure she stayed in consistent communication with family and friends. She was a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots, and loved to care for her many cats throughout the years, especially her most recent cat, Crisco.
Along with her husband, Vincent, she is survived by her sisters, Catherine Heath and her husband, Steven, of Woonsocket, and Christine Belba and her husband, Michael, of Coconut Creek, FL; her brother, Michael Sarnosky of Boston, NH; her nieces and nephews, Andrew and Alexander Heath, Elaine Stewart, Lauren Quimby, Haley Lake, and John Belba; and her great nieces and nephews, Olivia, Oliver, Ella, Owen, Anthony, Harrison, and Indie.
Her funeral will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 beginning with visitation from 9:00 - 10:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
