Maureen Fielding Obituary

Maureen Fielding, age 74, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024. She was the wife of the late Donald L. Fielding. Born in Woonsocket she was the daughter of Irene (Delfino) Scrima of Fernandina Beach, FL and the late Marcel Belliveau.

Maureen worked as a nurse’s aide for The Friendly Home, Woonsocket, and The Holiday Retirement Home, Lincoln. She and her husband owned wicker stores, including Wickers Inn, Woonsocket. Maureen had a fondness of woodworking along with literature. She had a long standing passion for her country and the Red Sox. Maureen was very close with and loved by all of her family, and served as a caregiver for her son and mother until her passing.

Besides her mother, Irene, she leaves her loving children, Tracy Bowen of Fernandia Beach, FL, Tricia Fielding of Millville, MA; Kimberly Fielding of Pascoag, and Donald A. Fielding of Fernandia Beach, FL; her sister, Joanne Aznavorian of Harrisville; and her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Griffith, Michael Bowen, Daniel, Megan, Amber, Jack, and Josh Ryan, and Katelynn Fielding; and many cherished great grandchildren and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 beginning with visitation at 10 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
