Maurice F. Aubin

Maurice Frederick Aubin, 93, of Blackstone MA, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Lucille M. (Mongeau) Aubin, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage following their wedding on October 12, 1962. Born in Woonsocket RI, Maurice was the loving son of the late Raymond and Eva (Brunette) Aubin.

Mr. Aubin earned his Masters' Degree from Boston University and dedicated his professional life to education. He served as principal at 1st and 2nd Avenue Schools (currently Pothier & Citizens), and Globe Park Elementary School. Following his retirement, Maurice continued his commitment to education as the GED Program Director in Woonsocket. Maurice enjoyed photography, staying active and traveling throughout his life. Above all, he treasured time with his family and leaves behind a written book documenting his family's history.

In addition to his wife, Lucille, he is survived by his loving children: Michael Aubin and his wife, Christine, of Bellingham; Phillip Aubin and his wife, Charu of Shrewsbury; Christine Petit and her husband, Arthur, of Franklin; Charles Aubin and his wife, Laura, of Plainville; and Renee Aubin of Hopkinton; his brother, Marcel Aubin and his wife Angie of California; eight grandchildren, Victoria Jackson, Rachel Aubin, Andrew Petit, Nicholas Aubin, Jonathan Aubin, Brianna Aubin and Dayna Aubin, and Elizabeth Petit; his great grandson, Harvey Jackson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10 am in Divine Mercy Parish, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4 pm in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, 685 Steere Farm Rd., Harrisville, RI 02830.
