Michael Fontaine Obituary

Michael R. Fontaine, 66, of North Smithfield, died July 4, 2021 at home. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Claudette (Methot) Fontaine of North Smithfield and the late George Fontaine.

Michael was a 1975 graduate of North Smithfield High School and worked as a printer for GS, Inc., Pascoag, retiring in 2018. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed cooking, especially ribs, and loved spending time with the family dog, Lulu.

Along with his mother, Claudette, he is survived by three siblings, Joanne Clark and her husband, Randy, of Burrillville, Cathy Fontaine, of North Smithfield, and Russell Fontaine and his wife, Colleen, of Asheboro, NC; as well as his nephew and Godson, Jordan Fontaine. He was the uncle of the late Eric T. Mooney.

The family would like to thank the staff of Kindred Hospice for their compassionate care for Michael.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10am in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. All other services will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2374 Post Rd., Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886.
