Michael J. Kropman

Pastor Michael J. Kropman, 69, of Harrisville, died August 15, 2023, at home. He was the husband of Linda (Milliard) Kropman of Harrisville. Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Irving and Gloria (Gell) Kropman.

Michael served in the Marines from 1971 - 1972. He worked as a Chaplain and Pastor for the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility, The Rhode Island Training School, and Rhode Island Department of Corrections. Michael's passion was to help people change their lives in a better way.

"Too blessed to be stressed" Words you would always hear anytime he was asked how he was doing. With his unwavering faith he was able to reach so many lives being a pastor of his church in Woonsocket, RI. He loved sunset motorcycle rides with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is loved by many and will be missed by all. May he rest in peace.

Besides his wife, Linda he is survived by their children, Michael Kropman, of East Greenwich, Jericho Comire, of Burrillville, Leah Lopes, of Attleboro, MA, Caleb Kropman, of Burrillville, and their spouses Bob Comire, Mallory Kropman and Shea Kropman; a brother, Scott Kropman, of Rochester, NY; two sisters, Dena Kropman, of Rochester, NY and Kimme Spencer, of Webster, NY; and six grandchildren, Judah, Abigail, Tabitha, Priscilla, Josephine, and Elijah.

His funeral will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, starting with a visitation at 10AM, followed by a service at 11AM, in The Church of the Acts, 200 Greene St., Woonsocket. Additional parking is available in the St. Anthony's Church parking lot, 128 Greene St., Woonsocket. For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed on Facebook and Instagram on Caleb Kropman's accounts. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Church of the Acts, P.O. Box 177, Harrisville, RI 02830.
