Misty D. (Castro) Cook, 52, of Harrisville, died April 26, 2024. She was the wife of Howard F. Cook, whom she married September 7, 2018. Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of Nancy (Breitenstein) Castro of Burrillville, and the late Fernando "Bernie" Castro.
Misty was a registered nurse, working in many different hospitals throughout RI and MA, including, Milford Regional Medical Center, Rhode Island Hospital, Miriam Hospital, and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She loved chickens, and operated her own business, Ocean State Poultry. She enjoyed photography, cooking, antiquing, drawing, and the ocean.
Besides her husband, Howie, she leaves her children, Vincent Peloso of Woonsocket, Jacob Peloso of Vancleave, MS, Austin and Joseph Peloso, both of Woonsocket, Raphael Clermont of Burrillville, Cody, Elizabeth, and Abigail Cook, all of Burrillville, and Travis Cousineau of Woonsocket; her brothers, Stephen Castro and Chris Mee; her sisters, Juli Wright, Deborah Halsey, Melissa Bartel, Karen Pietropaoli, and Nicole Hill; two grandchildren, Walter Peloso and Evelyn Stuart; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Kristie Czesnowski.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, beginning with visitation at 9 AM in Divine Mercy Parish, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
