Mitchell P. Miller, 65, passed away suddenly on August 22, 2025 in Woonsocket, RI. Mitch spent most of his childhood and early adult life in Holliston, MA where he attended Holliston High School. As an adult, Mitch moved to the Woonsocket, RI area where he worked as a commercial truck driver (CDL) and mechanic.
Mitch was happiest when behind the wheel of a service vehicle, whether delivering goods, driving a paratransit bus, or piloting a snowplow. On cold snowy winter mornings, Mitch was known for being there to clear the roads or driveways... often for free. Mitch was a man tall in stature, but with an even bigger heart. He was always there to help others, frequently at the expense of his own needs. "I'll get by" was a phrase Mitch used repeatedly when helping others.
Mitch is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Miller Stone (Warren) of Rindge, NH and Matthew S. Miller (Shirley) of St. Joseph, MI. He is also predeceased by his brother, Daniel Miller of Holliston, MA. He is survived by two brothers: Michael Miller (Patricia) of Ottawa, KS and Matthew Miller (Mary Jo) of Solomons, MD. Mitch has four nieces and 9 grandnieces and nephews. Mitch leaves behind many friends and the family is especially grateful to his close partner, Tina, to whom he was recently engaged.
Mitch was a tall man with a large heart. He will be missed.
