Monique Russell

Monique Renee Russell, 62, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the home of her sister, Nicole Cornelius, in San Antonio, Texas, after a courageous battle with mesothelioma. Born and raised in Woonsocket, Monique was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, remembered for her honesty, strength, and deep love for her family.

She is survived by her son, Jason Rowan and his wife Heather of Putnam, CT; grandchildren Theodore Rowan, Justin Rowan Jr., and Julianna; her sister Nicole Cornelius and husband Cornell of San Antonio; brothers Marc Tellier, Raymond Tellier, and Louis Marcet; nieces Jackie and Leighly; nephews Marcus McNeil, Jayse Cornelius, and Robert "Blue" McNeil; great-nieces Rya and Ever; great-nephew Mateo; and many extended family members and close friends. She was predeceased by her son, Justin Rowan, in 2023.

Her visitation will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 beginning at 5PM, followed by a service at 7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
