Norman A. "Skip" Priestley, 69, of Mapleville, passed away peacefully May 13, 2026 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Diane (Calkins) Priestley whom he married in 2009. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Norman and Pearl (Hughes) Delaney Priestley.
Mr. Priestley worked as an orderly and a CNA for Woonsocket Hospital and Nursing Placement Inc. He truly knew how and loved caring for people. Norman was a proud member of the Morning Star Lodge #13, Woonsocket, for almost fifty years, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Woonsocket Chapter #3, where he would end every meeting with "monkey business", for almost fifty years, and a member of the Elks Lodge Woonsocket. He was a man of laughter who always had a joke or funny story tell, including endless "dad jokes". Skip was a sweet man, outgoing, and always maintained a positive outlook on life.
Along with his wife Diane, he is survived by three stepdaughters, Maureen A. DeLoffi, her husband, Matthew, and their daughter, Sydney; Christine L. Chandler, her husband, Charlie, and their son, Benjamin; and Julie M. Richard; and two sisters, Kim Haggerty and Carol Mowry. He was the brother of the late Jack Delaney.
A funeral will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10AM in St. James Episcopal Church, 24 Hamlet Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
