Normand E. Gagnon, 91, of Woonsocket, died March 18, 2024 in Woonsocket Health & Rehab Center. He was the husband of Muriel "Mitzi" (Casavant) Gagnon. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Viateur and Rose (Savoie) Gagnon.
Normand served in the US Navy. He worked as a custodian for Bryant University and was a member of Cercle Laurier since May of 1988. Normand enjoyed dancing with his wife, tinkering around in his garage, being silly, and eating ice cream. His favorite passtime was fishing, and his most important time was family time.
Along with his wife, Mitzi, he is survived by their children, Brian Gagnon and Donna Hardy both of Woonsocket; his grandchildren, Timothy Hardy and his wife, Andrea, Scott Hardy and his wife, Hazel, and Anissa LaMoore and her husband, Dan; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Eliana, Damian, Gabriella, Dean and Hunter; and many nieces and cousins. He was the brother of the late Henry Gagnon, Rita Laflin, and Muriel Zoha.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Old River Rd., Manville. Calling hours are Monday from 5-7PM.
