Paul P. Cardin, 81, of Woonsocket, passed away January 6, 2025 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of Diane (Ouellette) Cardin whom he married July 7, 1965. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Peter and Jeannette (Lambert) Cardin.
Mr. Cardin served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Roger Williams College. Paul worked as a mechanical draftsman for Teknor Apex in Pawtucket. He also worked part time delivering newspapers for the Valley Breeze and delivering flowers for Nys Flowers. He was an avid golfer, bowler, fisherman and photographer. He enjoyed playing hockey and basketball when he was younger and became a New England sports fan.
Along with his wife, Diane, he is survived by three children, Angela Cardin of Woonsocket, David Cardin and his wife, Jessica, of Wilmington, MA, and Melissa Cardin, of Woonsocket; a brother, Richard Cardin and his wife Joyce of Roseville, CA; and two grandsons, Luke and Nathan Cardin.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 beginning at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, or can be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/a2501797202665. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham. Calling hours are Monday from 4 - 7PM.
