Pauline Gauthier Obituary

Pauline J. (Rondeau) Gauthier, 74, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, with her loving daughters, Darlene and Paula, her cherished granddaughter Sabrina, and devoted son-in-law Moe by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Lucien R. Gauthier-her first love and soulmate.

Born and raised in Woonsocket, Pauline was the daughter of the late Lionel and Jacqueline (Barbeau) Rondeau. She spent her working years contributing her talents to companies such as Colby Glass, Tupperware, General Electric, and Tinsel Town.

Pauline's greatest joys were found in the simple pleasures of life. She adored her loyal dog, Bodhi, and treasured time spent playing cards with family. With music in the air, she was always the first to dance. If she wasn't at home, you could likely find her enjoying her favorite slot machine at the casino. Above all, Pauline had a deep love for her family. She was the heart of every gathering, often showing her love through baking-especially sweets that reflected her own warm and joyful spirit. She was a devout Catholic, who could be found saying prayers and the rosary throughout the day.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Darlene Portch of Fairfax, VA, and Paula Gauthier of Bellingham, MA; her dear son-in-law, Maurice "Momo" LaCroix, whom she proudly called her favorite; her brother, Leo Rondeau, and his wife Bonnie of Woonsocket; her beloved grandchildren, Joseph, Sabrina, Carrie, Joshua, and Matthew; and six great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life.

Pauline was predeceased by her siblings Ronald, Linda, and Helen Rondeau, and Jacqueline McWhinnie.

Pauline will be remembered for her selfless love, her laughter, her sweet tooth, and her deep devotion to those she held dear. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
