Philip W. Caswell, 80, of Forestdale, RI, passed away on October 31, 2025, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline A. (Cooper) Caswell for thirty-four years. Born in Cambridge, MA. He was the son of the late Clyde and Rachel (Guthrie) Caswell.
Mr. Caswell was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and received his training in radiology while in the service. After he received his military discharge, he took the opportunity to tour the United States while traveling the entirety of Route 66. He then worked over fifty years as a radiologist for Fogarty Hospital and Metro-West Hospital, retiring in 2020.
Philip and his wife, formerly lived on Cape Cod in Falmouth, MA. They enjoyed traveling together, especially to the Isle of Wight in Great Britain. Philip was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and loved his daily walks with his loving dog, Daisy-May.
He is also survived by two brothers, John, and Neil Caswell; two sisters, Jane Deptula and Jeannie Caswell; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late David Caswell and Ann Jacobs.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow at the Slatersville Cemetery, Greene St., Slatersville, RI. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 PM.
