Rachel T. (Poulette) Zielinski

Rachel T. (Poulette) Zielinski, 61, of Woonsocket, passed away on June 7, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Roland and Doris (Larocque) Poulette.

Rachel was a loving mother, devoted daughter, and a free spirit. Raising her three sons was one of her greatest joys. Her warmth, humor, and caring personality touched the lives of those around her. She was a social person who loved spending time with her family and large circle of friends.

She spent her later years living in St. Martin, in the Caribbean, where she felt most at peace, and also enjoyed time at her home in The Villages, Florida. She loved being outdoors and found joy in fishing, gardening, painting, and listening to music. Rachel had a special love for animals, especially her dogs, her companions, who were always by her side.

Throughout her life, Rachel cared deeply for her family. She lovingly supported her parents in their later years, reflecting the same selflessness and compassion she showed in all areas of her life.

Her memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her the best.

She is survived by her three sons: Zachary Zielinski and his girlfriend, Tara Sullivan, of Blackstone; Dr. Zethariah Zielinski and his wife, Whitney, of Lansing, MI; and Anthony Moran of Woonsocket; her sister, Jeanne Lemon of The Villages, FL; her grandson, Callum; and her longtime companion, Daniel Moran of Woonsocket.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the support and care given to Rachel and her family by all the staff of HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, especially Valerie.

A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 2–4 PM at Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
