Ramona G. (Townsend) Mari, 72, of North Smithfield, passed away June 20, 2024 at home. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Annie (Lechman) Townsend of North Smithfield and the late George Townsend.
Ramona enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, and loved spending time with her prayer group and family, especially her grandchildren and her cat Greyson. She was an organ donor recipient and was very grateful to UMASS Memorial in Worcester.
She is survived by two sons, Peter Nadeau of Woonsocket, and Matthew Nadeau of Woonsocket; two daughters, Sarah Happenny and her husband, Ken, of Lincoln, and Rebecca Baldwin of Cranston; a brother, Glenn Townsend of North Smithfield; a sister, Patricia Levesque of North Providence; and five grandchildren, Benjamin and Jillian Happenny, Connor and Nolan Nadeau, and Peyton Baldwin. She was predeceased by her former husband, and the father of her children, Charles Nadeau, as well as, her daughter-in-law, Nicole Nadeau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 1, 2024 at 10AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UMass Memorial Office of Philanthropy, 365 Plantation Street, Biotech One, Worcester, MA 01605.
