Ricard L. "Ricky" Lemay, 95, of Woonsocket, died July 22, 2025 in the Holiday Retirement Home, Lincoln, RI. He was the husband of the late Constance F. (LeBlanc) Lemay, whom he married November 7, 1953. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Claudio and Evelyn (Thibeault) Lemay.
Ricky was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He worked as a mail handler in the Providence Post Office, until his retirement in 1992. He was a quiet man who enjoyed fishing, as well as cruises and traveling after retirement. Ricky's favorite pastime was baseball - whether it was watching the Sox at Fenway with his son, or the Boston Braves in his youth.
He leaves his son, Steven Lemay and his wife Christine, of Wakefield; his son-in-law, Maurice "Moe" St. Germain and his wife, Patricia; his grandchildren, Tara Ducharme, Jake St. Germain, Brian Lemay and Lynn Belanger; thirteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl St. Germain; his great granddaughter, Lauren Belanger; his brother, Normand Lemay; and three sisters, Lucille Lefebvre, Muriel Berry, and Pauline Braff.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025, with a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
