In his youth, Richard was a talented basketball player who graduated from Bellingham High School. Over many summers, he worked with his brother at the Silver Lake Concession Stand owned by his uncle. After the conclusion of his military service, Richard was a long-time field service technician for Western Union and later worked as a computer and electronics engineer for several area manufacturing companies including Computrend Electronics. During retirement, his major hobbies were golfing and fishing, and he was an avid reader and a longtime member of the Lions Club. As of late, he most enjoyed gardening and bird & animal watching, while trying to defend the bird feeders from squirrels.
Along with his wife, Roberta, he is survived by several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the father of the late Steven Aubin, and brother of the late Robert Aubin and Madeleine McMullen.
