Richard P. Casavant

Richard P. Casavant, 68, of Woonsocket, died December 23, 2020 in his home. He was the husband of Darlene R. (Chamberland) Casavant, whom he married December 29, 1972. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Ulric and Rita (Archambault) Casavant.

Richard was a 1971 graduate of Woonsocket High School. He worked for Electric Boat for many years, and later worked in housing management. Richard served in the National Guard for 16 years. He was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves their children, Sean Casavant and his wife, Megan, of Grantham, NH, and Hayden Casavant of Harrisville; two grandchildren, Cameron and Benjamin; and his siblings, Albert, Claire, Paulette, and Jeanne.

Private funeral arrangements were held under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, PO Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052.
