Richard L. Lemay

Richard L. Lemay, 92, of Blackstone and formerly of North Smithfield, passed away April 11, 2025 in his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Brenda (Ratcliffe) Lemay. Born in Woonsocket, where he lived until 1999, he was the son of the late Henry and Laura (San Souci) Lemay.

Richard was a Korean War Veteran for the US Air Force. He worked as a truck driver for Rosenfeld Concrete, Hopedale. He was a member of the Local 170, Worcester Teamsters and the Teamster's Retiree Group. He loved being in the sun by the pool, music, concerts and the NY Yankees.

He is survived by his children, Gary Lemay of North Smithfield, Diane Costello Millette and her husband Gerard, of Woonsocket, and Beverly Jarry and her husband David, of Blackstone; his sister Dolores Hartman of Topsfield, MA; four grandchildren, Aaron and Lacey Jarry, Kyle Costello and Melanie Lemay; and two great-grandchildren, Arlo and Leora Costello Bell. He was predeceased by his grandson, Zachary Costello, and his siblings, Henry and Paul Lemay, Pauline Gagnon and Suzanne Messier.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church,63 Church Street, Slatersville. Burial will be private.
