On Monday February 22, 2021, Richard Nadeau Jr., a devoted husband and loving father of two died at the age of 63 after two years valiantly managing treatment for lymphoma and leukemia.
Rick was born in Providence, RI to Richard Nadeau Sr. and Joyce (Lewis) Nadeau and grew up in Northborough, MA. For the last 38 years, Rick practiced law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts after receiving his law degree from Georgetown University. On September 17, 1983 he married Merredythe Nadeau and they raised two sons, Matt and CJ in North Smithfield, RI.
An avid reader, Rick was a student of history and a fan of science fiction. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of cycling and golf, his strong devotion to family and friends, and his commitment to his profession. Ricks colleagues at Partridge, Snow, and Hahn respected and valued him, especially for his role in mentoring and supporting young lawyers with his tough love approach (which, as anyone who knew him, was a faade of tough and a whole lot more love).
Rick is survived by his wife, two sons, his father, Richard Sr., his brother, Gregg, and sister, Laurie. Due to the current health crisis, there will be no wake, but messages of remembrance or condolences can be shared with the family through [email protected].
Attendance for his funeral service will be private, but may be viewed live Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 10AM at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/79305408 Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
