Robert R. Giguere

Robert R. Giguere, 78, of Woonsocket, passed away December 17, 2024 at home. He was the husband of Shirley (Clark) Giguere whom he married May 30, 1967. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Oliver Giguere, Sr. and Simonne (Lebrun) Giguere.

Mr. Giguere worked as a supervisor for Hyman Brickle & Son Inc., Woonsocket, for thirty-six years, and most recently worked as a groundskeeper for Bayberry Commons, Pascoag, for fourteen years. He was the owner of the former Rip Tide Tackle, Woonsocket. Robert enjoyed exploring local yard sales and was an avid fisherman who competed in and won several tournaments throughout the years.  

Along with his wife, Shirley, he is survived by two daughters, Ann-Marie McMillan and her husband, John, of Pascoag, and Michelle Giguere, of Woonsocket; a brother, Oliver Giguere, Jr., of Blackstone; a sister, Paulette Lamberto, of Woonsocket; six grandchildren, Crystal, Cody, and Cyle McMillan, Katrina and Sheridan Fernandes, and Scott Fernandes, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Julianna Williams, Bristol Bushway, and Brooklyn Lacoste; as well as, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Claire Giguere and Gertrude Champagne.

His funeral will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 beginning with visitation at 9 AM followed by a service at 11 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham.
