Robert J. Villiard

Robert J. Villiard, 85, of Woonsocket, died December 6, 2024 at his home. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late John and Bertha (Stevenin) Villiard.

Robert worked as a Professor at Dean College, retiring as Professor Emeritus. He was very involved with Slatersville Congregational Church, whether it be singing in the choir, assisting with the Stevens Ministry or as a Deacon. He was an avid reader of theology and philosophy.

He is survived by his daughter, Diana Richard and her fiance, Noah Hayslip, of Franklin, MA; his granddaughter, Ruth Villiard-Richard; and his great-granddaughter Gracyn. He was predeceased by his brother Norman Villiard.

His funeral will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11 AM in Slatersville Congregational Church, 25 Greene St., Slatersville, RI 02876. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
