Roger Cardin Obituary

Roger G. Cardin, 84, of North Smithfield, passed away November 2, 2025. He was the loving husband of Denise (Pelletier) Cardin. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Jerome and Florence (Desmarais) Cardin.

Mr. Cardin was an educator in the Woonsocket Education Department, teaching both elementary and middle school aged children. He earned his bachelors degree from Rhode Island College. Roger was a proud veteran, having served in the Air Force and over twenty plus years in the Army Reserves. He also volunteered for over fifty years at the Narragansett Council Scouting of America, an organization near and dear to his heart. Roger was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Slatersville.

Along with his wife Denise, he is survived by his brother-in-law Dennis Pelletier of Cambridge, MA. He was the brother of the late Claire Keach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Sunday from 1 - 4 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rhode Island Boy Scouts, 223 Scituate Ave., Cranston, RI 02921
