Roger O. Tetreault, 87, of Seekonk, MA formerly of Blackstone, MA, died November 8, 2022 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Therrien) Tetreault. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Joseph O. and Diane (Therrien) Tetreault. He lived in Blackstone most of his life, living on Farm Street for 40 years.
Roger was a carpenter, and belonged to the Local 535, Norwood, MA for 30 years, retiring in 2003, and served as a tax assessor for Blackstone from 1976 - 1991. He had previously worked for the former Draper Corporation, Hopedale for 11 years, and 6 years at Rochambeau Worsted, Co. He was a member of the BPOE #850, Woonsocket, the American Legion Post #85 Fairmount, and the VFW Post #498 Blackstone. Roger serviced in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He leaves his children, Bruce Tetreault, and his wife Karen, of St. Albans, ME and Lisa Ballou, and her husband John, of Blackstone, MA; his companion of 20 years, Rita Estrella of Seekonk; his sisters, Ann Christiansen of Millville and Janet Inger of Woonsocket; four grandchildren, Jessica Dalpe, Cory Tetreault, and Conor and Kayla Ballou; four great grandchildren, Austin, Miles, and Paxton Dalpe, and Colby Tetreault. He was predeceased by his brother, Eugene Tetreault, and his sister, Constance Remillard.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Divine Mercy Parish at St. Paul Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 PM.
