Roland A. Archambault

Roland (Archie) A. Archambault, 90, of Woonsocket, died November 12, 2023 in his daughter Terri-Lyn’s home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Tetreault) Archambault, whom he married September 17, 1955. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Gerald Archambault, Sr. and Bertha (Hamelin) Archambault.  

Roland served in the Navy. He worked as a carpenter for Massachusetts Local #339. He enjoyed traveling, and he loved to dance. Every year, during the Autumnfest parade, the MSC Marching Band stopped in front of his son Dean’s house for Roland to join them and dance along to their music.  

He leaves his children, Wayne (Ramona) Archambault; Terri-Lyn (Gary) Lanctot; Lisa (Walter) Weseluk; Bryan (Lynn) Archambault; Wesley Archambault-Beach; Dean (Aline) Archambault; Kara (Nick) Haddad; and Tamra (Michael) Roberts. He also leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly. Roland also leaves behind sisters Terri (Bob) Lessard, Vivian Baillargeon, Pauline (Louis) Trahan, Janet Granato, and Susan Creech. He was the grandfather of the late David Archambault and brother of the late Gerald Archambault, Jr. He also leaves behind his companion of 15 years, Carol Lanoie. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10AM in Holy Trinity Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:30AM. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
