Roland served in the Navy. He worked as a carpenter for Massachusetts Local #339. He enjoyed traveling, and he loved to dance. Every year, during the Autumnfest parade, the MSC Marching Band stopped in front of his son Dean’s house for Roland to join them and dance along to their music.

He was the grandfather of the late David Archambault and brother of the late Gerald Archambault, Jr. He also leaves behind his companion of 15 years, Carol Lanoie.
