Rosamond L. "Sam" (Ansay) Daignault, 90, of Woonsocket, died August 25, 2025 in HopeHealth Hospice. She was the wife of the late Norman Daignault, whom she married November 18, 1952. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Bertha (Bellehumeur) Ansay.
Sam worked for Almac's in the produce department, and had previously waitressed at Chopsticks. She was an active volunteer at the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary for many years.
She leaves her son Norman Daignault and his wife, Donna, of Woonsocket; two grandchildren, Joann Hagerty of Pascoag and Jeremiah Turner of Blackstone; three great grandchildren, Gweneth Gomes of Pascoag, Jeremiah Turner, Jr. and Daniel Turner, both of Blackstone; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lorre Daignault.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11 AM in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
