Ruth Lavallee Obituary

Ruth F. (Cook) Lavallee, 89, of Woonsocket, passed peacefully, Saturday, February 1, 2020, at home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Roland R. Lavallee. Born in Blackstone, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Alice (Carr) Cook.



Mrs. Lavallee was a graduate of Blackstone High School. She worked as an assembler for Texas Instruments, before leaving work to raise her family. Mrs. Lavallee was a member of the AmVets Post #7, and a lifelong member of the Loyal Rebekah Lodge #29. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, and was an avid bowler, and Red Sox and Patriots fan. She loved traveling to Florida.



She leaves two sons, William Lavallee, and his wife, Annette, of Pawcatuk, CT, and Robert Lavallee and his wife Michelle of Woonsocket; three daughters, Barbara Perrault, and her husband, Buster of Johnston, Kathy Menard, and her significant other, Richard Blanchard, of Millville, MA and Denise Lavallee Colella of Johnston; her sister, Phyllis Silva of Florida; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Grace Clement.



Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Josephs Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2374 Post Rd, Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886.
