Shirley L. Roberts-DiSalvo

Shirley L. (Bray) Roberts-DiSalvo, 96, of Cumberland, formerly of North Smithfield, died February 12, 2021 in the Evergreen Home Nursing Center, East Providence.She was the wife of the late George H. Roberts, III and the late Alfred J. DiSalvo.Born in Denver, CO, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Mildred (Sauer) Bray.

Shirley was a graduate of Denver West High School, Colorado.She worked in the mortgage and operations departments, and was a teller for Eastland Bank, retiring in 1988.Shirley was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church. She was an avid genealogist for many years, tracing her familys heritage back to her great great grandfather.Shirley was always there for her family, with a listening ear and a welcoming heart to all who came to her door.

She leaves her son, George H. Roberts, IV, and his companion, Karen Roderick, of Sarasota, FL; her daughter, Judith A. Mazzarella of Greenville; five grandchildren, Katie Roberts, Christopher Roberts, and his wife, Megan, Cynthia Roberts, and her husband, Jon Speaker, Karlene Sprague, and her husband, Mark, and Matthew Mazzarella; four great grandchildren, Jackson, Kai, Lola, and Cooper; three nieces, Virginia Bray-Bindner of Colorado, Barbara Bousquet of Blackstone, MA, Patricia Gaurdreau of Woonsocket, and Paula Pappalardo of Burrillville; and her nephew, Robert Wood of California.She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen V. Bowen, her siblings, Walter Bud and Leslie Bray, Betty DiAndrea, and Marilyn Calvert.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 18, 2021 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthonys Church, 128 Greene Street, Woonsocket, or may be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/53466606 Burial will be held at a later date.Calling hours are Wednesday, from 4-7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.Social distancing guidelines will be implemented upon your arrival.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
