Stasia P. (Kaczor) Monty

Stasia P. (Kaczor) Monty, 102, of North Smithfield, RI and Wexford, PA, died December 17, 2025. She was the wife of the late Bernard Monty. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Pauline (Wodynska) Kaczor.

Stasia graduated from the University of Rhode Island and was a 7th grade science teacher in the Woonsocket School Department for over 30 years.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Monty; 2 grandchildren: Chelsea Monty-Bromer and Cory Monty; and 1 great grandson.

Her funeral will be held Monday, December 29 at 10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Sunday, December 28 from 2-4 PM at Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
