Stephen F. Barrette

Stephen F. Barrette, 54, of Smithfield, died February 15, 2025 in his home. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Beverly (Grant) Brouillard and her husband Robert, of Harrisville, and the late Arthur J. Barrette.

Stephen worked 18 years at Lakeside Pools. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed cooking, grilling, the ocean, and fishing with his brother and uncles. Stephen loved dogs, especially his dog Nike, who was a constant companion to him.

Besides his mother, Beverly, and stepfather, Robert, he leaves his girlfriend, Deborah Blanchard; his stepdaughter, Crystal; his brother, Brian Barrette; two uncles, Charlie Grant and Ricky Barrette; two aunts, Felecia Butera and Jacqueline Martinelli; three grandchildren; and seven step siblings.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 beginning with visitation from 10-11:30 AM, followed by a service at 11:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
