Susan M. (Strickland) Bouvier

Susan M. (Strickland) Bouvier, 79, of North Smithfield, died December 2, 2024 at The Loft at Linn in East Providence. Born and raised in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hortense (Lareau) Strickland.

Susan spent most of her career as a professor at CCRI in Lincoln, teaching business & administrative studies for over 30 years. She enjoyed her home, the beach, traveling, shopping, and music, especially Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Bouvier) Lavallee, of North Smithfield; two grandchildren, Michael Lavallee and Remy Goulet of North Smithfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Harry and Joel Strickland and Cynthia Hanks.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the North Smithfield Animal Shelter, PO Box 653, Slatersville, RI 02896.
