Sylvia E. (Beck) Schaier Peckham

Sylvia E. Beck Schaier Peckham, 80, of Woonsocket, RI, died Friday, November 11, 2022 peacefully at home with family by her side. She was the wife of the late George W. Peckham Jr., and Donald F. Schaier. Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Marchand Beck.

Sylvia worked as a CNA for over 30 years until retiring from Zambarano Hospital in 2018, where she was also the union steward. She enjoyed traveling, cruises and Foxwoods, but mainly she loved caring for her family.

She is survived by children, Donna Turner, and her husband Norman, Joseph Schaier, and his wife Maria, and Karen Schaier, all of Woonsocket, Edward Schaier, and his wife Pauline of Mapleville, and George W. Peckham III, and his wife Stacey of Harrisville; as well as, eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joann, Jennifer, Joey, Angel, Eddie, Amanda and Georgie and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three children Frederick, Richard, and Wanda Schaier, and her three sisters Connie Paquette, Mary Tyson and Beverly Baker.

A visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5-7PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
