Therese L. (Daignault) Kennedy

Therese L. (Daignault) Kennedy, 96, of Woonsocket, died January 8, 2024 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late W. Michael Kennedy, whom she married September 6, 1948. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Raoul and Dorila (Champoux) Daignault.

Therese was a communicant of St. Charles Church, and volunteered for various organizations there. She was a member of the Ladies Society at the former Sacred Heart Church. Therese was an exceptional homemaker, who baked the best chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed crafting, especially knitting and crocheting.

She leaves her sisters, Cecile Sauvageau of Concord, NC and Claire Lorange of North Smithfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Michael William Kennedy; and her siblings, George, Gerard, and Andre Daignault, Marie Anne St. George, Rita Crepeau, Gerarda McGee, and Marguerite Plante.

Her funeral will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in the St. Antoine Residence Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
