Violet L. Dubois, 78, of Greenville, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025 at Stillwater Assisted Living Home located in Smithfield. She was the cherished wife of the late Maurice R. Dubois and the loving daughter of Theodore and Lillian (Arcand) Barry.
Violet had a distinguished banking career, starting at Eastland Bank in Woonsocket and later retiring from the Bank of America Headquarters in Providence. Throughout her life, she was known for her dedication, hard work, and the friendships she formed along the way.
She and her late husband, Maurice, spent over 30 wonderful years in Narragansett, where they created countless cherished memories. Violet found joy in spending time at Narragansett Town Beach with her three beloved grandchildren. She also shared a passion for camping and country line dancing with Maurice at Mishnock Barn in West Greenwich.
Violet leaves behind her sons, Kenneth Dubois and his wife Tracy of Mapleville, and Kevin Dubois and his wife Celeste of Bristol. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Olivia, Julia, and Jameson, as well as nieces and nephews, including her nephew Ernie Barry and his wife Judy of Chepachet. Violet was predeceased by her sister Connie LaFreniere and her brother Ted Barry.
We will be honoring Violet's life with a visitation on Saturday, September 20, 2025, beginning at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am at the Holt Funeral Home, located at 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery on West Wrentham Road in Cumberland, RI.
