Wallace H. Berard, Jr. 84, of Narragansett, died peacefully surrounded by his children on January 17, 2026 at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI. He was the husband of the late Pamela Berard. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Wallace and Florence Berard.
In addition to raising six children, Mr. Berard was the owner of Broad Street Garage in Woonsocket for over 20 years, Director of Buildings and Grounds at Smithfield School Department, and loved rebuilding antique cars on the side to help provide income for his family. Affectionately known to all as Wally, he loved watching all his grandkids grow up and enjoyed spending time at his home in Narragansett and will be fondly remembered as the man that could fix everything; always helping friends, family and neighbors.
Wally is survived by his children David and his wife Jenn of Stuart, FL; Linda Lynch and her partner Noah Clark of Saunderstown, Bryan and his fiancé Alex Guisti of Lincoln, Greg and his wife Katy of Lincoln, Bethany and her husband Steve Peck of Saunderstown, Bruce and his wife Erica of Cumberland.
He was the cherished grandfather to 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild; Stephanie and David Berard; Victoria Langone; TJ and Taylor Lynch; Madison and Brooke Berard; Weston and Jax DePalma; Ally and Abby Peck; Brody and Quinn Berard; and Bella Berard.
He is also survived by his sisters Joyce MacDonald Carol Laliberte, and brother Robert Berard.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 11AM in All Saints' Memorial Church, 674 Westminster St., Providence, RI 02903. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Hope Health, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.

For friends and family attending my father’s funeral service on Wednesday, January 21, transportation will be provided by bus from Savini’s Restaurant to All Saints Memorial Church.
Please note: Parking at the church is very limited, so we strongly encourage using the provided transportation.
