Wayne Grant Obituary

Wayne B. Grant, 67, of Johnston died, July 24, 2019 at Hope Hospice Palliative Care in Providence. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Lewis and Olga (Bogardus) Freiday.

Wayne spent his early years growing up in Cumberland and went on to graduate from Cumberland High School. He spent most of his working career with Collette Tours, traveling all over the United States and many foreign countries. After retirement, Wayne worked part time at Stop Shop. He loved meeting and talking to customers everyday. He loved his home and family, and his little dog Precious. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by two sisters, Beverly Brouillard of Harrisville; Felecia Butera of Bristol; two brothers, Charles Grant of San Antonio, TX; Allan Grant of Cumberland as well as several nephews and nieces.

His funeral will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Health, Attn: Philanthropy, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
