William A. Bucci

William Arthur Bucci, 93, of Trinity, Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep on Nov 3rd, 2024. He was the devoted husband for the last 64 years of Sandra (Yasinczuk) Bucci. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of Arthur and Mary (Banksy) Bucci. He previously resided in North Smithfield, RI.

William was an army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was the proud owner of Messier Security Agency who serviced the greater Woonsocket area.

Bill (as he liked to be called) had a passion for golf, travel, and playing poker with friends. Bill spent quality time over the years in his beloved beach house in East Matunuck, RI where friends and family gathered around him every summer. He also enjoyed spending time at his timeshare in Aruba with family and friends. He was a beloved animal lover.

Bill was past president of the Woonsocket Rotary Club. His passion for the club led to the establishment of the children's lead screening program for the city of Woonsocket and then Statewide. He was also instrumental in providing a program for education and purchase of mannequins for CPR for agencies and professions in the city of Woonsocket. He was instrumental in the establishment of the first Autumn Fest held in Woonsocket, RI and continues to this day. Bill was also past President of St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Woonsocket, RI.

Bill was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Sandra (Yasinczuk) Bucci, children Michael Bucci, Lisa Bucci, and Erik Bucci, daughters-in-law Jeanne Bucci, Mira Bucci, grandchildren, Jeffrey Bucci, Justine Bucci, William Uralowich, Kaitlin Uralowich, Alexandra Bucci and great grandchildren Landon Bucci and Calamita Bucci.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15th at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 74 Harris Ave, Woonsocket, RI with interment at the St Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in Blackstone, MA. The viewing will be held at the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main Street, Woonsocket RI on Thursday, November 14th from 4 pm-7 pm.
