William Papineau, Jr., 87, of Woonsocket, died September 23, 2024 in HopeHealth Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of Muriel G. (Menard) Papineau, whom he married May 4, 1957. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late William Papineau, Sr. and Edna (Craig) Papineau.
Mr. Papineau worked for Papineau Service Station on South Main Street. He was a former member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks. Mr. Papineau enjoyed bowling, and was a car fanatic.
Besides his wife, Muriel, he leaves their children, Susan Plante, and the late Jeffrey Plante, of Woonsocket, and Gary Papineau and his wife, Deborah of North Smithfield; his sister, Theresa Ledoux of East Greenwich; three grandchildren, Jillian Falardeau and her husband, Derek, Ryan Papineau and his fiancee, Amanda Serapiglia, and Brittany Morahan and her husband, Andrew; and two great grandchildren, Elena and Harrison Falardeau.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
