William F. Tobin Jr., 87, of Lincoln, died January 7, 2024 in HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Lorraine (Parenteau) Tobin. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Murphy) Tobin, Sr.
William worked for fifty plus years as a construction safety consultant. He worked for Perini, Walbridge Aldinger, NAB, Lynch, and last employment was with Contractors Risk Management. He served in the Air Force. William loved to play golf, watch NCIS, read literature about all movies and actors, and was an avid reader of the newspapers. He liked to people watch. William was also very socialable, there wasn't a place he could go that he did not know someone.
Along with his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Judkins of Spencer, MA, Ann Tobin and her longtime significant other, George McDonough, of Franklin, MA, and Eileen Tobin of Smithfield; and his two step-children, Stephanie Niejadlik Fox of Huntersville, NC and Jeffrey Niejadlik of Winchendon, MA; his grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Kathryn, Mackenzie, and Gabriella; one great grandson, Conner William Smith; and his niece Liz Hanft-Watanabe, of CA. He was the father of the late Mary Yarter and the brother of the late Isabelle Hanft.
His funeral will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Rd Bellingham. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 - 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
