Yvette M. (Berard) Plouffe, 69, of Woonsocket, passed away October 22, 2025 at home. She was the wife of forty-six years of Thomas J. Plouffe of Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Therese (Gagne) Berard.
Mrs. Plouffe worked as a Registered Nurse for several local hospitals and nursing homes for forty years. Yvette was very creative and enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts that involved fiber arts. She was also passionate about crafts involving rug hooking, spinning, weaving, needle felting, and quilting. Every year she would make personalized Christmas ornaments for family and her grandchildren.
Yvette was an avid reader and had published two children's books that she authored and illustrated and had dedicated to her grandchildren. She was strong in her faith, and family meant everything to her. Yvette was a loving wife, mother, and Nana who enjoyed cooking and caring for her husband and family.
Along with her husband, Thomas, she is survived by their two children, Joseph Plouffe of Smithfield, and Nicole Senecal and her husband, Justin, of North Smithfield; two sisters, Louise Christie of Mystic, CT, and Suzanne Langlois of Michigan; and two grandchildren, Raegan and Kinsey Senecal.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
