Charles "Chuck" M. Clarke, 65, of North Smithfield, died December 23, 2020 in Landmark Medical Center from complications due to Covid. He was the husband of Loreli (Swihart) Clarke whom he married in 1975. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late James and Dorothy (Pierrard) Clarke.
He was a family man who devoted his life to making sure his wife, children and grandchildren had more than he did. He moved to Rhode Island, ahead of his family, in 1983 looking for work and found it. Most recently, he worked as a Product Integrity Supervisor for the Plastics Group in Woonsocket, RI.
He could often be found walking, hiking, fishing, shooting or watching westerns. He loved the outdoors and instilled that love in his children and grandchildren. He was a dog lover, hard worker, patriotic, and loyal to his family and friends, always ready with a smile, a joke or a laugh. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his wife, Loreli, he is survived by two sons, Douglas Clarke of Lincoln, and Christopher Clarke of Woonsocket; a daughter, Michelle Norris of Southbridge, MA; a brother, Ray Clarke of Lebanon, OH; two sisters, Susan Picard of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Cheryl Markovich, of Pittsburgh, PA; as well as nine grandchildren: Kayleigh, Sarah, Carilynne, Colton, Sadie, Lorelai, Madison, Logan and Bella.
Private memorial arrangements will be made later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chuck's name may be made to the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership.
